Great post! We bought a 2010 Transit Connect for our commercial refrigeration service company in Chicago. The truck has been paying for itself since then! It drives & parks like a car which is ideal for the city. The max GVWR is a bit limiting at 5005 lbs. That being said we are able to carry 6 tanks of refrigerant, torches, pumps, plenty of tools, 24', 8' & 4' ladders & a wide assortment of parts & copper! We routinely weigh our truck at a scale to verify we are not carrying too much & have been getting 20.5 mpg on average with the truck weighing in at 4,900 lbs! Needless to say our 3/4 ton HD vans stay parked unless absolutely needed due to the average 9-10 mpg they get.

There are also special tax deductions for "Green" Commercial Buildings. To be specific, it's called the EPAct 179D Energy Tax Deduction.

Yes, it is a great solution. We find that zoning for a two-story home with accessible ductwork can be 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of a second system.

Our upstairs is always warmer than downstairs. This sounds like a great solution and less expensive than installing a second a second unit.
